Thanksgiving week is busy. You’re traveling. Planning the big meal. Giving about 25 percent during a loose “Work From Home.”
It’s easy to lose sight of college basketball during this time. So here’s a head’s up from your friends at Medium Rare Basketball: The Maui Invitational is going on tonight (Tuesday) and tomorrow. And the field is loaded. The Final Four is set and it could very well be a preview of the real Final Four in April.
(1) Duke vs. (8) Auburn – 7 p.m. Central
(3) Gonzaga vs. Arizona – 9:30 p.m. Central
(The other four are nothing to sneeze at either. Xavier, Iowa State, and Illinois are probable tournament teams)
The big story is this: Duke will only get stronger as the year goes on. So if neither Auburn or (my guess) Gonzaga can challenge them in Hawaii, keep things in single digits, well, then God help us all…
